From everything originates. Before the code, before the algorithm, before the chip — there was the brain.

“AI — Genesis” is the first act of a nine-work cycle paying tribute to the extraordinary journey from human intelligence to artificial intelligence. It is not a work about technology — it is a work about the origin of technology. And the origin, as Anaxagoras taught in the fifth century BC, is Nous — the Mind, the ordering principle of the universe, that invisible force which transforms chaos into order, matter into thought, signal into meaning. At the centre of the work, the human brain in rose with its gyrifications — every fold, every sulcus, every convolution crafted one by one with millimetric technique on a wine cork. Gyrification is not aesthetic: it is anatomical necessity, spatial optimisation, maximum density in minimum volume. Like the cork itself — compressed matter that preserves what is precious. Like the algorithm — infinite complexity contained in finite space. From mind to circuit: blue micro-traces connect fluo yellow connection elements, micro braided cotton cords in hemp/gold traverse the letters “AI” like wires of a PCB circuit in absolute miniature. Three defined connections, one free — awaiting the next upgrade. Like every software release that leaves a door open to the following version. On the reverse, two water drops in ultra-thin real silk recall the silent price of progress: every data centre in the world consumes water for cooling. Nature does not stop — a pink and soft red flower with yellow pistils continues its perpetual course at the base of the cork, indifferent to algorithms, faithful only to life.

On the top cap, a fuchsia flower on a celestial blue background in ultra-thin real silk — the origin of everything, before progress began. The simplicity that precedes complexity. As Plato taught in the Timaeus that the rational soul resides in the head — the part closest to the sky.

Da tutto ha origine. Prima del codice, prima dell’algoritmo, prima del chip — c’era il cervello.

“AI — Genesis” è il primo atto di un ciclo di nove opere che tributa il percorso straordinario dall’intelligenza umana all’intelligenza artificiale. Non è un’opera sulla tecnologia — è un’opera sull’origine della tecnologia. E l’origine, come insegnava Anassagora nel V secolo avanti Cristo, è il Nous — la Mente, principio ordinatore dell’universo, quella forza invisibile che trasforma il caos in ordine, la materia in pensiero, il segnale in significato. Al centro dell’opera, il cervello umano in rosa con le sue girificazioni — ogni piega, ogni solco, ogni circonvoluzione realizzata una ad una con tecnica millimetrica su un tappo di sughero. La girificazione non è estetica: è necessità anatomica, ottimizzazione dello spazio, densità massima in volume minimo. Come il sughero stesso — materia compressa che custodisce ciò che è prezioso. Come l’algoritmo — complessità infinita contenuta in spazio finito. Dalla mente al circuito: microtracce blu collegano elementi di connessione in giallo fluo, micro cordini di cotone intrecciato canapa/oro attraversano le lettere “AI” come fili di un circuito PCB in miniatura assoluta. Tre connessioni definite, una libera — in attesa del prossimo upgrade. Come ogni release software che lascia una porta aperta alla versione successiva. Sul retro, due gocce d’acqua in seta reale ultra sottile ricordano il prezzo silenzioso del progresso: ogni Data Center del mondo consuma acqua per raffreddarsi. La natura non si ferma — un fiore rosa e rosso con pistilli gialli continua il suo corso perpetuo sulla base del tappo, indifferente agli algoritmi, fedele solo alla vita.

In cima, un fiore fucsia su sfondo celeste in seta reale ultra sottile — l’origine di tutto, prima che il progresso iniziasse. La semplicità che precede la complessità. Come Platone nel Timeo insegnava che l’anima razionale risiede nel capo — la parte più vicina al cielo.
