In Chinese, “bā” (八) resonates with “fā” (發) — prosperity, abundance, incoming fortune. This is not superstition: it is language. The sound that carries goodness is engraved in matter, preserved, transmitted. For millennia.

“OTTOFLOR” is born from this profound awareness. Eight natural corks from premium Italian sparkling wine — living matter, porous, unique — become the physical vessel of an absolute and unrepeatable blessing. On every cylindrical surface, the number “8” manifests in a different form: eight interpretations of the same symbol, because fortune never presents itself twice in the same form. We do not know in which scenario it will arrive, at which moment, with which face. We only know that it arrives — and it is the mathematical proof that fortune does not need to show itself entirely to be recognised.

On the front face of every cork, the number “8” is rendered in bronze-gold lycra — eight different techniques, eight different typographic styles, eight different presences of the same certainty. On the reverse, rotating 180°, the same number appears in Valentino red — the colour of vitality, of the energy that attracts goodness. Eight times bronze-gold. Eight times red. Sixteen manifestations of the same promise.

On the top cap of every cork, the symbol 八 is engraved into the cork to a depth of 2mm and filled with 24k gold pigments, defined by stabilised Indian ink. The cork-gold-black contrast is the cultural signature of a work that speaks the millennial language of prosperity.

But the most precious secret is preserved in the eighth piece — the celebratory one, the one where fortune fulfils itself. Where everyone would expect the eighth “8”, Fortune itself chose to manifest in a different form: a Lotus flower, composed of five petals open toward the light, engraved by hand millimetre by millimetre into the natural cork, smoothed petal by petal, filled with 24k gold pigments and outlined in stabilised Indian ink. Twenty hours of artisanal work for a single flower. The Lotus — born in mud and blooming immaculate — is the Buddhist and Taoist symbol of purity emerging from difficulty. It rests delicately upon the lacustrine surface of the cork, asking only to be admired.

Whoever owns the seven pieces knows the Lotus exists. Only whoever completes the work finds it.

In cinese, “bā” (八) risuona come “fā” (發) — prosperità, abbondanza, fortuna in arrivo. Non è superstizione: è linguaggio. Il suono che porta il bene si incide nella materia, si custodisce, si trasmette. Da millenni.

“OTTOFLOR” nasce da questa consapevolezza profonda. Otto tappi di sughero naturale da spumante italiano di pregio — materia viva, porosa, unica — diventano il supporto fisico di un augurio assoluto e irripetibile. Su ogni superficie cilindrica, il numero “8” si manifesta in una forma diversa: otto interpretazioni dello stesso simbolo, perché la fortuna non si presenta mai due volte nella stessa forma. Non sappiamo in quale scenario arriverà, in quale momento, con quale volto. Sappiamo solo che arriva — ed è la prova matematica che la fortuna non ha bisogno di mostrarsi interamente per essere riconosciuta.

Sul fronte di ogni tappo, il numero “8” è realizzato in lycra bronzo-oro — otto tecniche diverse, otto stili tipografici diversi, otto presenze diverse della stessa certezza. Sul retro, ruotando di 180°, lo stesso numero appare in rosso Valentino — il colore della vitalità, dell’energia che attira il bene. Otto volte bronzo-oro. Otto volte rosso. Sedici manifestazioni della stessa promessa.

Sulla sommità di ogni tappo, il simbolo 八 è inciso nel sughero con profondità di 2mm e colmato con pigmenti oro 24k, definito da china nera stabilizzata. Il contrasto sughero-oro-nero è la firma culturale di un’opera che parla il linguaggio millenario della prosperità.

Ma il segreto più prezioso è custodito nell’ottavo pezzo — quello celebrativo, quello della fortuna che si compie. Dove tutti si aspetterebbero l’ottavo “8”, la Buona Sorte ha scelto di manifestarsi in una forma diversa: un fiore di Loto, composto da cinque petali aperti verso la luce, inciso a mano millimetro per millimetro nel sughero naturale, levigato petal per petalo, colmato in oro 24k e contornato da china nera stabilizzata. Venti ore di lavoro artigianale per un solo fiore. Il Loto — che nasce nel fango e fiorisce immacolato — è il simbolo buddhista e taoista della purezza che emerge dalla difficoltà. Si posa delicatamente sulla superficie lacustre del sughero, chiedendo solo di essere ammirato.

Chi possiede i sette pezzi sa che il Loto esiste. Solo chi completa l’opera lo trova.
